Miles Winery
GalileeMiles Winery is a small family-run boutique winery in the moshav of Kerem Ben Zimra, in the Upper Galilee. The winery itself was established in 2001, but the family has grown grapes far longer: their first vines were planted in 1984 at Ramat Dalton, and some plots trace back to 1977. Winemaker Eyal (Ayal) Miles grew up in an agricultural family on the moshav; the vineyards sit at about 870 m above sea level. The winery follows a terroir-driven, minimal-intervention approach — hand-harvested premium clusters, temperature-controlled fermentation, and aging in French and American oak. The range includes Miles Red, Lilium, Amalya (a flagship bottling), Shiraz Reserve, Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve and Chenin Blanc; grape varieties grown include Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Petit Sirah, Petit Verdot, Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Riesling and Gewürztraminer. Whites, reds and a port have all been noted. A tasting of five wines selected by the winemaker. A platter of local Circassian cheese, the winery’s olive oil and bread is available alongside wine; you may also choose a glass or bottle to enjoy on site.
