Saint John's Church is located at 24-30 Khuri Street, Haifa. The church stands in the lower city of Haifa, in an area where Arab Christian, Arab Muslim and Jewish communities live side by side. Khuri Street is a local street in the eastern lower city, reachable on foot from the lower-city center, by buses running along nearby arteries or by car. Street parking on the adjacent streets is limited and fills up faster during church events. The entrance opens onto the pavement, with direct access from the street. The venue is also referred to as St. John's Church and the Church of Beit HaChesed. The church is used for regular services and, when needed, for church music performances. The surroundings include restaurants, cafés and neighborhood shops of Wadi Nisnas and the adjoining streets. Beit Hagefen and the Talpiot Market are a short walk away. The building is part of the layer of historic churches and communities in lower Haifa.
