Tikotin Museum of Japanese Art is located at 89 HaNassi Boulevard, Haifa. The museum stands on HaNassi Boulevard, upper Haifa's main cultural artery, in the Carmel district. Access is convenient on foot from the Carmel commercial center or by buses running along the boulevard. Public parking along HaNassi and the adjacent streets is limited, so arriving early or by public transport is the usual advice. The entrance opens onto the boulevard pavement. The venue is also referred to as Tikotin Museum — Raphael Auditorium: in addition to its exhibition halls the building runs a screening and performance hall by that name. The museum presents Japanese art from different periods, focused on Japan's artistic and cultural tradition. The Raphael Auditorium is used for film screenings, music performances and lectures on a medium scale. The surroundings include cafés, shops and the bus lines of HaNassi Boulevard. The main stages of the Carmel are within a few minutes' walk. The view from the area extends toward Haifa Bay and the lower city.
