Galil Mountain Winery
GalileeGalil Mountain Winery was founded in 2000 as a partnership between the Golan Heights Winery and Kibbutz Yiron. It sits in the Upper Galilee beside the kibbutz, with vineyards planted high in the mountains (up to ~800 m) — among the coolest sites in Israel. Its wines are organised into ranges (Bar, Stav, Galil, Aviv), alongside single-vineyard bottlings and the flagship "Yiron" red blend. The winery puts a strong emphasis on sustainable farming. Visitors are welcomed at a modern visitor center with a panoramic view over the vineyards: a tour of the production process (fermentation halls and the oak-barrel cellar) and a wine tasting. There is a shop, terraces, and light dairy platters for groups. Groups and meals require advance booking.
