Ben Zimra Winery

Ben Zimra is a family boutique winery in Moshav Kerem Ben Zimra in the Upper Galilee, run by the Bojo (בוז'ו) family — veteran farmers who settled in the moshav back in the 1950s. For more than 40 years they grew wine grapes for leading Israeli wineries before bottling under their own label. They established the winery in 2003 and built it as a fully self-contained operation: growing the grapes, making the wine, and running the visitor center themselves. The vineyards sit at roughly 750–900 metres on deep basalt soil — a high, cool terroir the family considers ideal for wine grapes. The wines include Sauvignon Blanc, Roussanne, Chenin Blanc, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon, plus a premium blend named "BUJU" (the 2022 vintage noted as new). The family historically sells most of its grapes to top Israeli wineries and keeps small quantities for its own label. Its flagship is the "BUJU" blend, and the winery is also known for its Sauvignon Blanc from the high Kerem Ben Zimra vineyards. At the visitor center you can join guided wine tastings paired with cheese platters and local products (vegan options noted), alongside wood-fired (taboon) pizza, pastries and picnic packages. A guided vineyard tour by off-road vehicle is offered (about ₪220 per person, ages 18+). Wine tasting is an adult activity, and the tour and tastings are stated for participants aged 18 and older. Since October 2023 the family has continued tending the vineyards and producing wine under wartime conditions near the northern border.
