Carmel

Binyamina Winery was founded in 1952 (originally named "Eliaz") and is today one of Israel's largest wineries. Its visitor center sits in a 1925 landmark building that Baron Edmond de Rothschild originally built as a perfume distillery; it now houses VIP tasting rooms and a patio overlooking the vineyards. The winery makes many ranges and sources grapes from across the country — from the Golan Heights and Upper Galilee to the Judean Hills. The “90 Years of Aromas” historical tour takes about 45 minutes and includes 3 wines. Separate tasting flights offer 4 whites, 4 reds or 5 premium wines. Optional cheese platter 85 NIS or smoked-fish platter 100 NIS. Visits require reservations; the visitor center is kosher.
