Madatech is located at 25 Shmaryahu Levin Street, Haifa. The building stands in Hadar HaCarmel — on the slope of Mount Carmel between Central Carmel and the lower city — near the main Hadar streets. Shmaryahu Levin Street is a residential side street that holds several of Haifa's historic public buildings. Access is possible on foot from the surrounding streets, by buses running along Hadar's main lines, or by car. Public parking nearby is limited and fills up faster on weekends and event days. The entrance opens directly onto the pavement. The venue is also known as Madatech Haifa. Madatech is Israel's national museum of science, technology and space, with interactive exhibits aimed at a broad audience. Part of the program is oriented toward families and children, but the exhibitions also suit adult visitors. The surroundings include cafés, local shops and Hadar's public buildings. The area is mainly active during the day and occasionally in the evening, and Madatech is one of the main visitor destinations in Hadar.
