In a remote corner of northern Sardinia, Piero Arca and his son Giuliano live off the land and the animals in their care. The Nona family, one of the town's most powerful families, regard them with hostility. Between the two families, representing opposing worlds, a complex relationship develops, and the growing friendship between Giuliano and Emilio Nona disrupts the familiar order. When Piero disappears during a snowstorm, Giuliano sets out to find him, on a journey that leads him to unexpected places and to the beautiful Maddalena. Salvatore Mereu weaves a mysterious family saga that blends Italian realism reminiscent of the Taviani brothers' films with a fable-like atmosphere, offering a poetic look at the encounter between different worlds and at those who dare to choose their own way of life. 180 minutes, Italian, Hebrew and English subtitles. **Date:** 2026-11-14, 16:15 **Venue:** Haifa Cinematheque **Address:** Ave. Ha-Nasi 142 **City:** Haifa **Tickets:** https://www.haifacin.co.il/Event/17698/ **Image:** https://pub-0a891185c33b4c5a8db7ede117f7c8e7.r2.dev/haifa-events/cinehaifa/033bde94e8d16fd3fd42c742d35ffd60.jpg --- **Canonical event page:** https://www.haifa.events/en/event/wandering-trees/ **Other languages:** https://www.haifa.events/he/event/wandering-trees/, https://www.haifa.events/ru/event/wandering-trees/ Haifa Events is an aggregator.
