"In my chest two hearts are beating; if one heart stops, the other will fall silent and die with it too. Part of me is Palestinian, and the other part is Israeli." Raida Adon is a video artist, actress and painter who carries a heavy genetic, emotional and historical burden on her back — even if she tries to run from it, it bursts out in her art. Raida is the only Arab woman to have held a solo exhibition at the Israel Museum. Despite her success, Raida struggles to find her place as a Palestinian artist in Israel. Her search for belonging and a home takes her all the way to Paris, where she discovers that in the European art world she is seen specifically as Israeli, and her complex identity is hard for people there to accept. Wherever Raida lives, suitcases stand ready for any situation. She feels at home neither here nor there. Only art is home. 55 minutes, Hebrew and Arabic, subtitles in Hebrew. After the screening there will be a conversation with director Bracha Zisman Cohen. **Date:** 2026-10-13, 18:30 **Venue:** Haifa Cinematheque **Address:** Ave. Ha-Nasi 142 **City:** Haifa **Tickets:** https://www.haifacin.co.il/BuyTickets.php?event=27919 **Image:** https://pub-0a891185c33b4c5a8db7ede117f7c8e7.r2.dev/haifa-events/cinehaifa/63e79fc7529c2a0a759e6431271d7b90.jpg --- **Canonical event page:** https://www.haifa.events/en/event/raydh-adon-latsmh/ **Other languages:** https://www.haifa.events/he/event/raydh-adon-latsmh/, https://www.haifa.events/ru/event/raydh-adon-latsmh/ Haifa Events is an aggregator.
