In a reality where the familiar order keeps unraveling, the piece too seeks to break that order, leaving open, unknown spaces that take shape before the audience's eyes. It is an invitation to glimpse the space from which the inspiration flows - from the music to the body's movement and back again. By watching the performance, the audience becomes a partner in the work's creative process. The piece was born out of a wish to follow the movement of the heart as it contracts and expands, and the movement of the eyes as they close and open wide again. The dancers' moments of improvisation demand deep listening to the music and to what is happening around them, so they can lean on the here and now. Even when everything outside is noisy, the dancers' movement searches for an anchor to hold on to between rising and falling, seeking the gaps between one sound and the next, one movement and the next, where they can rest.
