During the meeting, clips from films chosen by Dani will be screened. After the conversation there will be a ten-minute break, followed by a screening of the film: in the 1980s, Haklik was a successful punk/new-wave band that sang anti-establishment and political lyrics in Hebrew. After two albums considered classics of the Israeli counterculture, with songs like "Mom, I Don't Want to Quit," "Don't Light Me a Candle" and "Incubator," Haklik broke up. Thirty years later, now in their late fifties, the members of Haklik reunite to begin one last journey together – to do one more thing together before it's too late. In the film "The Last Click," the band's lead singer Dani Dotan (who directed the film together with his partner Dalia Mevorach) spends two years creating with, and struggling alongside, the people who were once his bandmates in the legendary group that broke up in 1984. He wants to return to the stage, to the protest he abandoned back then – but what chance do people who were in their twenties, and are now in their fifties, have of reviving their music, of doing something real? The film follows the rebirth of Haklik as the past keeps breaking in, sabotaging and discouraging them. It's a film about friendship and music, about trying to close a circle. "The Last Click" reveals the power of the songs and the once-in-a-lifetime relationships formed between the band members, the hopes and the shattering of a dream, the conflicts and the sense of missed chances of people who were once young rebels who destroyed what they had, and who know this is their last opportunity – that this is the last click. 93 minutes, Hebrew, Hebrew subtitles.
