Night after night he fills auditoriums with a show dedicated to the national author, conveying to the audience his love of words and literature. But off stage, his life is far emptier, and he struggles to form close, meaningful connections. When his daughter, who was almost entirely absent from his life, suddenly appears in his world, his routine begins to unravel, and he sets out on a journey of memory and self-reflection, during which he meets people who force him to reexamine his relationships with those around him and with himself. A gentle comic drama about literature, family, and the gap between life on stage and life off it. The film is based on a screenplay by Sophie Fillières, who passed away before she could direct it herself, and at its heart is a precise, heartfelt performance by actor Fabrice Luchini. 89 minutes, French, Hebrew and English subtitles.
