But what is revealed changes the picture of reality and requires viewers to examine their own views on the boundaries of parenthood and motherhood. "Mama's Girl" is an important, powerful film full of compassion, bringing a deeply human story to the screen and looking at a complex, painful reality without prettifying it and without searching for easy answers. At its center is a relationship between a mother and her daughter under extreme conditions — a story that touches on motherhood, addiction, the boundaries of responsibility and love, and people living on the margins of society. It is an exposed and shattering film, yet also sensitive and non-judgmental, allowing the viewer to draw close to the two women at its heart and to reconsider assumptions and positions that at first seem self-evident. The film screened as part of the DocAviv Festival and is a finalist in the top five for the Documentary Filmmakers Forum Awards. After the screening there will be a conversation with director Yael Kipper and the film's subjects, Lisa and Tal. 75 minutes, Hebrew, Hebrew subtitles. **Date:** 2026-11-22, 18:30 **Venue:** Haifa Cinematheque **Address:** Ave. Ha-Nasi 142 **City:** Haifa **Tickets:** https://www.haifacin.co.il/Event/17711/ **Image:** https://pub-0a891185c33b4c5a8db7ede117f7c8e7.r2.dev/haifa-events/cinehaifa/5ed650621937a59cf0878cb04e65b90d.jpg --- **Canonical event page:** https://www.haifa.events/en/event/girl/ **Other languages:** https://www.haifa.events/he/event/girl/, https://www.haifa.events/ru/event/girl/ Haifa Events is an aggregator.
