Legendary jazz pianist Bill Evans forms a perfect trio, with Paul Motian on drums and Scott LaFaro on bass. Together, at the Village Vanguard club in New York, in a single night they record two of the greatest jazz albums in history. Ten days later, Scott LaFaro is killed in a car accident. Evans, paralyzed by grief, stops playing. "Everybody Loves Bill Evans" — winner of the Best Director award at the Berlin Festival — begins, unusually for a musical biopic, at the point where Evans stopped playing, and tells the story of the continuing path of one of the most admired, influential and tragic musicians of the 20th century. An elegant and restrained film, a film of sincere emotion and quiet beauty. 102 minutes, English, Hebrew subtitles. **Date:** 2026-11-14, 19:30 **Venue:** Haifa Cinematheque **Address:** Ave. Ha-Nasi 142 **City:** Haifa **Tickets:** https://www.haifacin.co.il/Event/17699/ **Image:** https://pub-0a891185c33b4c5a8db7ede117f7c8e7.r2.dev/haifa-events/cinehaifa/1810458907fc382012b793c37aeffcf9.jpg --- **Canonical event page:** https://www.haifa.events/en/event/everybody-digs-bill-evans/ **Other languages:** https://www.haifa.events/he/event/everybody-digs-bill-evans/, https://www.haifa.events/ru/event/everybody-digs-bill-evans/ Haifa Events is an aggregator.
