On the evening of July 4 in the Hamptons, Aline Solness, a highly respected publisher, is preparing to throw a party in honor of her husband, the architect Henry Solness, as he unveils his final masterpiece. What appears at first to be an exciting reunion shatters with the unexpected arrival of Matilde, a former student of Henry's with whom he once had an intimate relationship. As the evening unfolds, each of them finds themselves facing a truth that will change the axis of their lives. A shattering modern adaptation of Ibsen's classic work.
