'Someone Sang It First'
"Someone Sang It First" — Cameri Theatre. Two years since October 7, the Cameri Theatre presents "Someone Sang It First" — a theatrical-musical journey through stations in the life of the people and the state. The show brings together monologues, scenes, sketches and songs from the repertoire of original and international plays and musicals performed at the Cameri over the 80 years since its founding. "Someone Sang It First" is the story of a state and a theatre — torn between despair and hope, between laughter and tears, between the endless cycle of wars and the eternal aspiration for days of peace and prosperity. Among the songs: "Imagine," "I'll Wait for You," "I'm So Afraid," "When My Eyes Darken," "Somewhere," "Love Song to the Sea." The show is accompanied by live music. Cast: Yaniv Suissa / Moti Katz, Udya Koren / Moran Arbiv, Gilad Shmueli / Tom Chodorov, Naama Shtrit / Chen Garti, Ofri Biterman / Alon Sandler. Directors: Amit Apta, Ella Tamari Mills. Editing: Tom Chodorov. Photo credit: Ohad Romano.
