## Description

100 Years Since the Birth of Sami Michael: Tribute Event | Rappaport Hall | 30 NIS. Friday, 18/9/26 | at 12:00. "A Morning of 100 Minutes" – a cultural tribute event marking 100 years since the birth of author Sami Michael. The event will combine an in-depth panel discussion, acting segments, poetry and song segments (in Hebrew and Arabic), and the playing of recorded archival clips of Sami Michael. The overall duration of the event was carefully chosen to match the milestone (100 years, 100 minutes). The morning will be hosted by Anat Sharon Bles (presenter of literature and culture programs on "Kan Tarbut"), who will lead a festive discussion with the participation of Professor Avigdor Feldman, Dr. Manal Shalabi, author Chaim Be'er, and David Peretz. Between panel segments, acting excerpts from "Trumpet in the Wadi" will be performed by Hanan Hillo – actress, and Vladislav Pasechovich – actor. Panel moderator: Anat Sharon Bles (presenter of literature and culture programs on "Kan Tarbut"). Panel participants: Professor Avigdor Feldman, Dr. Manal Shalabi, Prof. Chaim Be'er, and David Peretz. Mary Manasa (singing): Born in Nazareth, a professional singer with a rich career, performing at festivals and concerts in a variety of styles and languages. A certified vocal development teacher at music institutions and privately. Idan Toledano (guitar, oud): A multidisciplinary musician, composer, arranger, producer, and multi-instrumentalist specializing in connecting East and West. Artistic director of the "Rana" choir, "Quartetuccan," and "Marrakesh Express," working to promote music as a space for cultural dialogue. Holds extensive academic education (bachelor's and master's degrees) and specializes in flamenco from Spain. Johanna Rietmuller (Middle Eastern violin): A violinist who brings to life the space between Arabic music, Middle Eastern music, and contemporary creation (a member of the ensemble "Radio Baghdad"). She brings to her playing deep melodic sensitivity, a warm personal character, and an intimate familiarity with the maqam scales that give the violin a central presence. Main musical accompaniment: the ensemble "HAWA". "Hawa" (air in Arabic) is an ensemble creating a multicultural musical encounter, in which Levantine traditions are woven naturally and contemporarily with songs in various languages (Hebrew, Arabic, English, and Spanish). Guest singers: Anat Charny – opera singer | Hagai Rechavia – guitarist.
